The Oskar Ibru Education Foundation is a Nigerian philanthropic organization established to identify, support, and nurture exceptionally talented young Nigerians between the ages of eight and eighteen (8 to 18) who lack the financial means to access the quality of education their abilities deserve.
The Oskar Ibru Educational Foundation envisions a Nigeria where every exceptionally talented child, regardless of financial background, has the opportunity to access quality education and realise their full potential.
To identify and support exceptionally talented young Nigerians between the ages of eight and eighteen who face financial barriers to quality education, providing them with the financial assistance, mentorship, guidance, and resources they need to realize their full potential and contribute positively to society
A Nigeria where exceptional talent is identified early, developed intentionally, and equipped to contribute meaningfully on a national and global stage regardless of background or circumstance

Talent is not the problem in Nigeria; access is. Millions of gifted children have the ability but not the means to develop it.
Over 18 million Nigerian children are out of school, kept away by poverty, insecurity, and distance rather than a lack of ambition
Rural communities carry the heaviest burden, facing deprivation in education, health, and nutrition all at once. Their talents are real, but the resources to nurture them rarely reach them.
Every undeveloped talent is a future leader Nigeria never gets to see. Left unsupported, dreams fade into frustration instead of achievement.
Exceptional talent exists everywhere, but opportunity does not. We identify gifted young Nigerians in academics, arts, and sports and provide the long-term support they need to thrive.

A nationwide programme with no geographic limitations, committed to discovering talent across all regions of Nigeria
Within the Foundation’s first five years, we aim to have moved from establishment into structured, consistent execution
By its tenth year, the Foundation will have transitioned from establishing systems to demonstrating long-term generational impact across the full span of a young person’s educational journey.
The Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees, stewards of the legacy that underpins this Foundation’s existence, and deeply committed to its mission. The Board is supported by specialist advisory counsel in the field of education.
